1、Teaching Professional Laboratory Construction
The Mining College boasts four undergraduate specialized laboratories: the Mining Engineering Laboratory, the Mineral Processing Engineering Laboratory, the Ventilation and Safety Engineering Laboratory, and the Surveying and Mapping Engineering Laboratory. Collectively, these four laboratories encompass 67 experimental spaces, with 19 dedicated to Mining Engineering, 22 to Mineral Processing Engineering, 20 to Safety Engineering, and 5 to Surveying and Mapping Engineering. The total area of the teaching laboratories amounts to 2,892.25 square meters.
2、Construction of Key Research Laboratories
With a focus on the comprehensive development and utilization of Guizhou's advantageous non-metallic mineral resources, the Mining College collaborated with the Guizhou Provincial Science and Technology Department in 2008 to establish the Guizhou Provincial Key Laboratory of Comprehensive Utilization of Non-Metallic Mineral Resources. Currently, this laboratory boasts 26 research spaces with a total area of 2,000 square meters. The college's teaching laboratories and research laboratories are situated in the south and north buildings of the college, respectively, connected by a corridor bridge, fostering a seamless integration of teaching and research activities.
3、Inventory of Laboratory Equipment
The college currently possesses a total of 2,622 pieces/sets of teaching equipment, valued at RMB 21.6 million. Among these, 44 pieces/sets are large-scale instruments and equipment, with a cumulative net value of RMB 12.2 million, capable of catering to teaching tasks in various environments, both indoors and outdoors. For research purposes, there are 464 pieces/sets of specialized equipment, valued at RMB 14.6 million, including 17 pieces/sets of large-scale instruments and equipment with a cumulative net value of RMB 10.4 million. These are primarily utilized in industries such as mining, mineral processing, safety, and surveying and mapping.
4、Laboratory Staffing
The college has a dedicated team of 10 laboratory personnel, with over 80% holding doctoral degrees and over 70% possessing senior professional titles, ensuring a high level of expertise and professionalism in laboratory operations.
